Un concurs nemaipomenit, un eveniment cultural nemaiintilnit….doamna Verejanu, de ce nu esti Ministrul Culturii pina acum??? Un scriitor de la dvs, pe nume Ion Cuzuioc, mi-a spus ca o candidatura mai potrivita nici nu gaseste…..

2 and 3 October 2008, Palacio de Congresos, Malaga

Dear Sir/Madam,

In its capacity as a founding member of the Global Digital Solidarity Fund, Malaga City Council, with the support of the Spanish government, is organising the first Summit of Cities and Local Governments of the Mediterranean, under the theme “innovative financing for the Mediterranean digital space”.

It is my pleasure to invite you to this important event, which will take place on 2 and 3 October 2008, at the Palacio de Congresos in Malaga.

As a tool for the development of the Mediterranean basin, information and communication technologies will be at the heart of the debate, as well the issue of securing funding to spread them to the least-developed parts of this region.

As new political actors in a common cultural space, Mediterranean city councils constitute a force that can provide a long-term solution to financing digital development in the region.

Consequently, the Summit will be an opportunity to call for renewed solidarity to meet the major challenges facing the communities of the Mediterranean, both north and south.

This event will begin on the evening of 2 October with a reception hosted by the Mayor of Malaga. On 3 October, there will be a series of speeches and debates involving mayors, national and local politicians, civil society organisations and private businesses.
